12.12.2022 Experts and shipping stakeholders drafted recommendations for sustainable ferries In November and December 2022 two workshops on nature- and climate-friendly ferries took place in Leer and Oldenburg (Lower Saxony). Experts and stakeholders from the national park authority, environmental NGOs, water police, academia, tourism, as well as commercial and recreational shipping came together to discuss sustainable ferries in the Wadden Sea. 19.10.2022 Wadden Sea participates in annual MBP meeting and CEPA capacity building workshop in Saloum Delta Coordinator of the International Wadden Sea School (IWSS), Anja Szczesinski, took part in the annual meeting of the Migratory Birds for People (MBP) network and a related capacity building workshop for communication, education and public awareness (CEPA) for visitor centres in West African countries along the flyway.
